Full-time Instructor Positions in Physics (PHYS-2-2024)

The Physics Program at Sabancı University, Istanbul, Turkey, is seeking full-time instructors effective 2025-26/Fall semester or earlier.  

We are seeking dynamic individuals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. The successful candidates will be expected to coordinate introductory physics courses with hands-on experiments designed for the students from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabancı University. The responsibilities include: 

  • Coordinating the lab/recitation sessions (experiments, TAs, quizzes, assessment of lab reports …). 
  • Contributing to the teaching of the course. 
  • Coordinating the exams (classrooms, proctors, assessments of exam papers…). 
  • Contributing to the preparation of new experiments.     

The expected workload is equivalent to teaching 6 courses per year.  The successful candidates will be expected to work in collaboration with the current faculty members giving the course. 

Qualified candidates should hold PhD degree in physics or related fields. An excellent command of English is required since English is the primary language of education at Sabancı University.
