Faculty Position in Philosophy

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabancı University, Istanbul, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Philosophy at the assistant or associate professor level, beginning September 2025, in the following areas:
Area of specialization
AI ethics, data ethics, philosophy of AI
Areas of competence
At least two from the following: philosophy of science, philosophy of social science, epistemology, social epistemology, philosophy of mind, logic, and non-Western philosophy
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in philosophy or a related field. The successful candidate should have an excellent publication record and demonstrate the ability to teach in an English-language academic environment, speak across disciplinary boundaries, and have innovative research agendas.
The successful candidate will contribute to the university’s new BA Degree Program in Data Science and Analytics and the Minor Program in Philosophy.
