Faculty Position in Cultural Studies

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabancı University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Cultural Studies. Rank of appointment is open. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in any of the following fields: Literature, Sociology, Cultural Studies or Gender Studies. Areas of specialization are open, but those with expertise in popular culture and media analysis, urban studies, and gender studies will be given particular attention.

The successful candidate should have an excellent publication record and innovative research agenda, as well as demonstrate the ability to teach in an English language academic environment and speak across disciplinary boundaries.

Sabancı University is a private, department-free, innovative academic institution located in one of Europe’s largest and oldest cities, Istanbul. The university is strongly committed to interdisciplinary research and teaching both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary is competitive.
