Graduate Scholarships
Almost all students admitted to Sabancı University’s academic graduate programs (except professional graduate programs) receive full exemption from annual tuition fees.
In addition to tuition waiver, majority of Sabancı University graduate students receive further support, which includes monthly stipend and free dorm room. Details of the scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year, which is effective as of September 2024 for continuing and new graduate students, can be found below.
Admission and scholarship decisions, which are based on academic merit, for applicants are made during the evaluation process. Scholarship recommendations are made by the Admission Jury and then finalized by the Board of the relevant Graduate School.

These are scholarships provided by research grants received from TÜBİTAK, EU, Industry, NGO’s, etc. For students who are fully supported by research grants, the monthly stipends provided by the project is subsidized by Sabancı University in various amounts as described below.
TÜBİTAK Research Projects (including 2244-Industry PhD Program) Stipends:
24.200 TL/month for MA/MS; 35.750 TL/month for PhD; 38.500 TL/month for PhD-after qualifying exams. In case the monthly stipend provided by TÜBİTAK is less than these figures, difference is covered by Sabancı University.
Stipends for EU, Industry, NGO and other external projects:
For students supported by ongoing/active projects: Minimum 24.200 TL/month for MA/MS; 35.750 TL/month for PhD; 38.500 TL/month for PhD-after qualifying exams. In case the monthly stipend provided by the funding agency is less than these figures, difference is covered by Sabancı University.
Stipends for newly starting projects in this category: Minimum 26.000 TL/month for MA/MS; 42.000 TL/month for PhD.

Sabancı University encourages students to apply to the 2210 - National Graduate Scholarship Program or 2211 - National Doctorate Scholarship Program, which is run by TÜBİTAK-BİDEB. In addition to the scholarship provided by BİDEB, Sabancı University provides the following opportunities to students admitted to its graduate programs.
