Research Projects Development Office
The Research Projects Development Office (PDO) is responsible for the project development, application, contracting period of the grant projects and academic support processes of SU faculty members and researchers. Responsibilities within the scope of project development and application process for grant projects are listed below.
- Searching for funding opportunities for national and international research grant projects,
- Informing SU faculty members and researchers about appropriate funding opportunities,
- Creating a candidate pool for project applications,
- Collecting the names and CVs of the new academicians in the university,
- Finding suitable candidates for project applications and matching them with suitable calls,
- Conducting consulting companies and coordination of TÜBİTAK EBAG processes in order to receive support within the scope of EU framework programs
- Filling in the application documents, budget and online system in line with the program expectations of the project and supporting the completion of the application during the application process,
- In case of acceptance of the application, managing the contract process and transferring the project to the Project Management Office (PMO),
- In case the application is rejected, the panel report is reviewed and the applicant is directed to revise the project and apply to the same or different funding group.
Programs under the responsibility of PDO; H2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie Programs, H2020 ERC Programs, EU COST, TÜBİTAK ARDEB (1001, 1002, 1003, 1005, 1004, 3501), TÜBİTAK BİDEB (2219, 2221, 2232, 2236, 2247A, 2247B), TÜBİTAK Bilateral Cooperation Projects, Era-Net National Programs, COST 2515-2519, BOREN, TÜSEB, Ministry of Development, Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA) Programs, American Funds and other National / International grant funds.
In addition to the support given to the project development and application process for grant projects, PDO also carries out studies that support the academic studies of Sabancı University faculty members, and the relevant responsibilities are listed below:
- Coordinating the Integration Projects Support applications for faculty members who are newly included in SU,
- Supporting SU Internal Academic Activity applications and ensuring the coordination of the process with the Faculty Representatives of URC (University Research Council),
- Ensuring the coordination of the Research Ethics Committee (SUREC) and managing the evaluation processes of applications,
- Examining the questionnaire requests submitted to SU and managing the process,
- Managing the application process and determining eligible faculty members who can meet the application criteria within the scope of Research Awards (TÜBİTAK, TÜBA, Elginkan etc.),
- Coordinating the Individual Research Fund (IRF) process,
- Managing the Graduate Policies processes together with the units within SU.
- RGP Journal coordination and publication,
- Coordination and publication of SU Researchers Catalog,
- Coordination of the e-signature process in project applications.
