The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabancı University, İstanbul, Turkey invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the area of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics or a closely related field and have a strong research background in experimental condensed matter physics as demonstrated by a publication record in relevant high quality journals. We welcome applications from candidates at all ranks. For candidates at the Assistant Professor level, post-doctoral research experience is required. The faculty member will be expected to establish and execute an independent research program at Sabancı University, as well as attract external funding at both national and international levels. The new faculty member will have a primary affiliation with the Physics program and will be encouraged to conduct collaborative research with other programs in FENS as well. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to benefit from the state- of-the-art infrastructure of the recently established Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM).
The responsibilities of the new faculty member include teaching undergraduate and graduate level physics courses, supervision and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students as well as service on committees.
