Full-Time Faculty Position in Advanced Ceramic Composites
Sabanci University Integrated Manufacturing Center (SU-IMC) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at all-ranks in the areas of Advanced Ceramic Composites. The candidates must have earned a doctorate degree in Material Science, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. The applicant is required to have an expertise in wide range of advanced ceramic composite materials with emphasis in areas related to fiber ceramic material development, ceramic matrices, ceramic composite sizing, ceramic-ceramic or ceramic-metal interfaces or component development for high temperature applications. The successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and graduate student supervision. Expertise on the industrial scale manufacturing, processing, and material development and characterization for ceramic composite materials is a very strong asset.
The Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Research Center (SU-IMC), industrial-scale research and technology development facility, was established in Summer 2016. The SU-IMC provides fundamental and applied research and facilities for design and analysis, product development, process prototyping, manufacturing, incubation services and commercialization opportunities in integrated manufacturing technologies.
