Full-time Faculty in Electronics Engineering (EE-1-2023)

The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabancı University invites applications for full-time faculty positions at all ranks to commence in the 2024-2025 academic year for the Electronics Engineering (EE) program. Junior candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in related fields and high potential in research and teaching, and Senior candidates (Associate and Full Professor) are expected to have demonstrated academic leadership and a strong record of publications, teaching, research, and services.

Applications are sought in all areas of Electronics Engineering such as but not limited to: Digital Circuits and Systems (VLSI, ASIC, FPGA, System-on-Chip Design and test, Integrated Systems), Signal Processing and Information Systems (Example application fields: Video, Image and Speech Processing, EEG, Biomedical Signal Processing and Neuroimaging), Optoelectronics, Photonics. 

Electronics Engineering (EE) Program offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics Engineering. Our B.S. program is accredited by MUDEK, part of the International Engineering Alliance - Washington Accord. In addition, the EE program is ranked as one of the top EE programs in Turkey by THE and QS ranking systems. 

Responsibilities

Teaching

The candidate is expected to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels (the expected load is three courses per year) and supervise undergraduate student projects and graduate theses. Other responsibilities include curriculum assessment and development and developing innovative practices in teaching. 

Research: 

The candidate must develop a robust research agenda and supervise graduate students. The candidate is expected to apply for grants to national and international agencies to support this research agenda. 

Service: 

The candidate is expected to actively work in the committees to help improve the academic and administrative processes of the faculty and the university.

Qualifications 

Junior applicants: 

Possess an earned doctorate from one of the top 251-300 universities for the research dimension according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings’ 2023 list in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment; 

Senior applicants (Associate and Full Professor): 

Demonstrate excellence in research, measured in funded research projects and publications in high-quality journals and conferences.
