Minor Programs Details

We offer the minor programs stated below to our successful undergraduate students who are eager to learn. Students may learn about areas which are not included in undergraduate program by faculties. 

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences

  • Energy

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

  • Philosophy 
  • Art Theory and Criticism 
  • Gender Studies 
  • Decision and Behavior 
  • Conflict Analysis and Resolution

Sabancı Business School

  • Finance 
  • Entrepreneurship 
  • Business Analytics

Psychology Minor Program is unavailable starting from 2019-2020 Academic Year. Students, who already enrolled in the program before that date, are still registered. However, those who enrolled in the university before 2019-2020 Academic Year and who plan to apply for the program are expected to contact Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. 

Applying for Minor Programs: 

Students who wish to register for a minor program and meet the requirements mentioned below may submit their signed petitions along with their transcripts (official transcript is not mandatory) to the Faculty Dean of the Minor Program during the dates stated in the Academic Calendar. 

In Academic Calendar, applications in the Fall Term will be evaluated for the following Spring Term, applications in Spring and Summer Terms will be evaluated for the following Fall Term of the Academic Year. Candidates are expected to meet the term specific application criteria stated below. 

A-) For “Physics”, “Mathematics” & “Art Theory and Criticism” Minor Programs

  • Students should have a minimum GPA* of 2.72 at the beginning of the term in which the evaluation will take place (including summer terms). 
  • Students may apply for the program at the beginning of their eighth semester the latest. 
  • Application should be accepted by the decision of the relevant Faculty Administrative Board. 
  • During the application, to have a minimum GPA* of 2.72 by the end of the last semester attended.

B-) For ”Philosophy”, “Finance”, “Gender Studies”, “Decision and Behavior”, “Conflict Analysis and Resolution”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Busines Analytics”, “Energy” Minor Programs;

  • Students should have a minimum GPA* of 2.72 at the beginning of the term in which the evaluation will take place (including summer terms). 
  • Students should be successful in all courses that they take up to the term in which the evaluation will take place (including summer terms).
  • Students may apply for the program at the beginning of their sixth semester the latest. 
  • Application should be accepted by the decision of the relevant Faculty Administrative Board.

- Students who do not take minor program classes two semesters in a row will be dropped from the program. 

* GPA is calculated with SU credits.

Registering for Minor Programs and Double Major Programs: 

Students who meet the requirements may register for minor Programs and Double Major Diploma Programs. 

Registering for More Than One Minor Program:

Students who meet the requirements may register for more than one Minor Program at once.
