Materials Science and Nano Engineering

Materials Science and Nanoengineering focus on developing synthetic and biological polymers, ceramics, and metals. Students enrolled in the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs of Materials Science and Engineering will obtain the foundation knowledge and practical skills necessary to understand, design, and apply advanced technology materials. As a consequence of this profile, graduates of the program may expect job offers ranging from basic and applied research in the physical, chemical, or biological sciences to industries concentrating on advanced technological materials.

In the Materials Science and Nanoengineering programs, research is carried out on the following topics, and graduate-level courses are given on these topics.

Advanced Composite Materials

Carbon-based Materials

Cement

Materials for Energy

Smart Materials and Structures

Semiconductor Interfaces

Surface Science

Theoretical and Computational Materials Science

Zero-Energy Consumption Lighting Materials
