Full-Time Faculty Position in Cyber Security (SEC-1-2018)

The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabancı University invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position in the general area of Cyber Security.

Applicants with strong academic credentials will be considered, but we will in particular seek scholars working in the fields of Cyber Security, Malware Analysis, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics, or Secure Software Development having hands-on experience on modern tools and techniques in these fields. The applicant will be expected to assume administrative responsibilities in the newly established graduate programs in cyber security. The teaching responsibilities of the position include mainly (but not always limited to) graduate courses in cyber security. The successful candidate is expected to supervise graduate student theses, conduct funded research, and publish in prestigious journals and conferences. Responsibilities also include service to the department, faculty, and university in general, in the form of student mentoring, committee work etc.

As a small university, we are especially interested in candidates whose research complements the existing research areas and who can help lead, initiate, and participate in collaborative research projects within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabanci University. Potential or demonstrated excellence in research is expected, as measured in the form of publications in high quality journals and conferences.
