The Third Workshop on Quantum Technologies and Computing (SUQUNET)

SUQUNET brings together researchers spanning the full quantum stack from computation and communication to sensing and materials. The event is organized around four themes:
• Quantum computing, machine learning, and optimization: Near-term algorithms (e.g., QAOA) for combinatorial optimization, error mitigation on noisy processors, quantum machine learning (QML), and post-quantum cryptography in the pursuit of practical quantum advantage.
• Quantum communication and space-based networks: Architectures for a global quantum internet, including satellite quantum key distribution, entanglement distribution, quantum repeaters, and the space-compatible quantum memories needed to overcome fiber loss over long distances.
• Quantum sensing and photonics: Light–matter interaction at the nanoscale for sensing and metrology: integrated quantum photonics, single-photon devices, quantum resonators, and quantum-enhanced position, navigation, and timing.
• Enabling materials and devices: The platforms underpinning these applications: solid-state color centers, MEMS/NEMS and 2D nanomaterials, and the condensed-matter physics of low-dimensional electronic systems.
The workshop fosters dialogue across these communities, maps the path from near-term devices to scalable quantum systems, and strengthens international collaboration.
Registration & Participation
To ensure high-quality dialogue and networking, attendance for this one-day workshop is strictly limited. If you would like to participate, please send a brief email to ry.arastirma@sabanciuniv.edu detailing your institutional affiliation, position and your current research interests. Applications will be reviewed, and selected participants will be notified.
