As cyber-attacks and threats have been escalating their negative impact on IT infrastructures, cybersecurity, being on the confluence of computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematics, emerges as an important, independent discipline, that provides the theory, the tools and the techniques to predict, prevent and mitigate cyber-attacks. However, the paucity of cybersecurity professionals, experts, and academics still remain the major obstacle to sustain meaningful strategies and deploy effective countermeasures to overcome cybersecurity threats.

With its master, PhD, and professional programs in the area of cybersecurity, Sabancı University aims to address these most pressing concerns by training and educating cyber-security researchers, professionals, and experts
