Course Registrations: UG Trial Course Registrations (22-24 January 2025)

Dear Students,

Undergraduate Trial Course Registrations will be held between 22-24 January 2025 via the Information System-trial. The system will open for registration at 10:00 a.m. on the first day and will close at 5:00 p.m. on the last day.

Trial course registrations are important for the following reasons:

  1. Allowing for alternative course selections by consulting with academic advisors before the actual course registration,
  2. Obtaining the necessary permits for courses that require registration approval,
  3. Providing an opportunity to address any technical alerts that may arise during the course registration process,

Detailed information about Trial Course Registrations can be found on the Trial Course Registrations page of the Student Resources Unit.

Who should register and when?

Undergraduate Trial Course Registrations, intended to be preparation for the Course Registration week, should be done by all undergraduate students, especially by the students who will register for the courses for the first time.

Student Resources Unit will perform registration for Freshman University Courses for the students who have not taken these courses yet (Freshman) and for those who have to repeat them. For students in this group, the required first-year university courses will be automatically registered in the system. Freshman students who are in their first two semesters will not be able to access the system during the course registration period. These students, if they wish, may change sections of their registered courses or add an additional course during the add/drop days.

Different class years of students can register each day during the registration period. Details are provided below:

1 - First Day (22 January 2025):

  • Only Senior students (Senior: Have at least 94 SU credits) placed in a diploma program can register for “Required” and “Core" courses (valid from the course registration term) of the program.

(Students who don’t meet this condition will get a “Class Restriction” error and may try to register as of the second day of the course registration period.)

2 - Second Day (23 January 2025):

  • Students who have been placed in a diploma program and major declarations have been issued can register for courses that are suitable for their program. Details can be reviewed on the Course Registration Days & Times table.

3 - Third Day (24 January 2025):

  • All students can register for all courses within the constraints of the course catalog.
