OPIM 403 Service Operations Management
The goal of this course is to introduce the students to the unique characteristics of services and the role of operations management in improving the effectiveness and productivity of service operations. The emphasis is on tools and techniques that are almost exclusively used in the services. Some of the topics covered in the course are new service development, service quality, locating service facilities, managing supply and demand in services, and managing waiting lines.
