ELAE Sınavları ile ilgili genel bilgiler
Students who are eligible to take the ELAE on January 20, 2026:
- Students who are using their right to study for a second year at FDY and who have submitted a petition through SuForm to the School of Languages Directorate
- Graduate students who have been invited by their institutes.

For the identification check to be done in time, we ask that students who will take the exam be at the exam hall half an hour before the exam starts and that they bring some official identification which includes their photograph, such as a passport, identification card, and driver’s license.
Students should also ensure that they bring a pencil, eraser and other necessary stationery items.
Students are asked not to bring their mobile phones into the exam hall. Students are kindly reminded that if they bring their mobile phones, they will be collected.
For FDY students the results of the ELAE will be announced on the external web page of Sabancı University on Friday, January 23rd at 9 pm.
Graduate candidates will be informed of their results by their institutes.
No results will be given out over the telephone to avoid any misunderstandings.
There is no make-up for the ELAE.
ELAE results are announced as alphabetic letters and numeric bands, not numeric values.

Sınav sonuçları ile ilgili açıklamalar aşağıdaki gibidir:
SL (Satisfactory in the ELAE): 5 Eylül 2025 ELAE sınavında yeterli başarıyı sağlayan ve 2025 - 2026 Akademik Yılı Güz döneminde fakültelerine Freshman statüsünde başlamaya hak kazanan öğrencilerimizi gösterir.
UL (Unsatisfactory in the ELAE): 5 Eylül 2025 ELAE sınavında yeterli başarıyı gösteremeyen adayları gösterir.
2. Aşama sınavından %70’ in altında başarı gösteren (UL notu alan) öğrenciler, ELAE 1. aşama sınav sonuçlarına göre, Temel Geliştirme Yılı’nda Rota 3 veya Rota 4’e yerleştirileceklerdir.
NA (Non-attendance): Sınava katılmayan adayları gösterir. NA notu, “UL” notu gibi değerlendirilir.
Not Baremleri aşağıdaki gibidir:
2025-2026 Akademik Yılı Güz döneminde, Temel Geliştirme Yılı (Hazırlık) dersleri 29 Eylül 2025, Pazartesi günü başlayacak olup, sınıf listeleri ve ders programları 26 Eylül 2025, Cuma günü saat 16:00’ dan itibaren MySU’da yayınlanacaktır. Sınıf atamaları Diller Okulu Direktörlüğü tarafından yapılacaktır, öğrencilerimizin ayrıca ders kaydı yapmalarına gerek yoktur.

Eylül 2025 ELAE (İngilizce Dil Ölçme Sınavı) 1. Aşama sınavına girecek öğrencilerimizin dikkatine,
2025-26 Akademik Yılı yeni girişli öğrencilerimizin 1. Aşama sınavına girecekleri sınav salonlarının bilgisi web sitemizde yayınlanacak sorgulama ekranı aracılığı ile 1 Eylül 2025 Pazartesi günü duyurulacaktır.
1. AŞAMA SINAVI TARİHİ VE SINAV SAATİ :
3 Eylül 2025, Çarşamba / 10:00 – 11:30
1. Aşama sınavına girecek öğrencilerimizin, kimlik kontrollerinin zamanında yapılabilmesi için sınavdan yarım saat önce sınav salonunun önünde hazır bulunmaları, resimli kimlik (nüfus cüzdanı, ehliyet, vb.) ve kurşun kalem, silgi gibi gereçleri yanlarında getirmeleri gerektiği önemle hatırlatılır.
1. Aşama sınav sonuçları, 3 Eylül 2025, Çarşamba günü (sınav günü) saat 21:00’ dan itibaren Sabancı Üniversitesi dış web sayfasında yayınlanacak olan sorgulama ekranı ile duyurulacaktır.
1. Aşama sınavından başarılı olamayan (UL notu alan) öğrenciler sınav sonuçlarına göre, Temel Geliştirme Yılı’nda Rota 1, Rota 2 veya Rota 3’e yerleştirileceklerdir.
1. Aşama sınavına girmeyen (NA alan) öğrenciler Rota 1’e yerleştirileceklerdir.
İngilizce seviyesinin çok yüksek olmadığını düşünen yeni öğrencilerimiz varsa, bu düşüncelerine rağmen 1. Aşama sınavının tümüne mutlaka girmeleri ve doğru olduğunu düşündükleri cevapları vermeleri, İngilizce seviyelerinin en doğru şekilde belirlenebilmesi açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır.
2. Aşama Sınavına girecek öğrenci grubu:
- 1. Aşama sınavında başarı gösteren (SL-yeterli notu alan) yeni girişli lisans öğrencileri
Sınav yeri bilgisi: 2. Aşama sınavı için sınav salonu bilgisi, 4 Eylül, 2025 Perşembe günü saat 15:00’ dan itibaren Sabancı Üniversitesi dış web sayfasında yayınlanacak olan sorgulama ekranı ile duyurulacaktır.
2. AŞAMA SINAVI TARİH VE SAATLERİ:
5 Eylül 2025, Cuma / 10:00-15:00 (detaylar aşağıdadır)
WRITING & LISTENING 10.00 - 12:30
READING 13:30 - 15.00
Sınav başlangıç ve bitiş saati sınav işlemlerinin uzun sürmesi nedeni ile belirtilenden daha geç olabilmektedir.

Sınav sonuçları, sözlü yanıtlamalardan doğabilecek olası yanlış anlama veya yanlış bilgilendirmeden kaçınmak ve güvenliği sağlamak amacıyla, telefonda kesinlikle açıklanmamaktadır.
ELAE sınavları için mazeret sınavları düzenlenmez.
ELAE sonuçları harf notu olarak açıklanır.*
SL – Satisfactory from the ELAE / İngilizce Dil Ölçme Sınavında Yeterli,
UL- Unsatisfactory from the ELAE / İngilizce Dil Ölçme Sınavında Yetersiz,
NA: Sınava girmedi / UL gibi işlem görür)
Prosedürlerimiz gereği rakamsal not kesinlikle açıklanmaz.
* Sadece ikinci aşama sınavı için SL ve UL harf notları baremlere ayrılır:
SL : Başarılı : A-SL, B-SL, C-SL,
EL: Eylül 2025 ELAE sınavından muaf olan öğrencileri gösterir,
UL : Başarısız: D-UL, E-UL, F-UL,
NA: Sınava girmeyen/ UL gibi değerlendirilir,

KONAKLAMA
ELAE'ye girecek öğrencilere en erken 02 Eylül 2025 tarihinde öğleden sonra giriş ve en geç 05 Eylül 2025 tarihinde sınav bitimi çıkış yapılacak şekilde; İstanbul içi, Kocaeli, Yalova ve Bursa dışından gelecek öğrenci ve yanında sadece 1 velisi ile beraber Üniversite Yurtlarında ücretsiz konaklama imkanı verilecektir. Exam result code explanations are as follows:
SL (Satisfactory in the ELAE)*: indicates students who have received the required grade or above in the September 17th ELAE and who have gained the right to start their faculty studies as Fall (regular) Freshman in the 2024-2025 Fall Semester.
UL (Unsatisfactory in the ELAE): indicates students who have not been able to obtain the required grade in the ELAE on the 17th September, 2024.
NA (Non-attendance): indicates students who did not attend the exam and is equivalent to a “UL” grade.
Grade bands are as below:
Students who do not receive a passing grade will be placed in the Foundation Development Year at either Route 3 or Route 4.

STAGE ONE EXAM DATE, TIME AND PLACE
Monday, September 22th, 2025 / 10:00 am – 11:30 am / YBF G071 SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT BUILDING
Important Reminder:
For the identification check to be done in time, we ask that students who will take the exam be at the exam hall half an hour before the exam starts and that they bring some official identification which includes their photograph (such as a passport, identification card, driver’s license) with them.
Students should also make sure that they bring a pencil, eraser and any other necessary pieces of equipment with them.
The results of the Stage 1 will be announced on the external web page of Sabancı University through the SU web-page. These results will be announced on Monday, September 22th at 9:00 pm.
Students who receive unsatisfactory grade (UL) will be placed in the Foundation Development Year at either Route 1, Route 2 or Route 3.
Students who do not take the exam (NA) will be placed in the Foundation Development Year at Route 1.
Therefore, even if an ELAE candidate feels that their English level is not high enough, they are still advised to take Stage 1 and to answer as many questions as they can so that their English level can be measured accurately.
Students who will take stage 2:
- New entry students those who receive satisfactory grade (SL grade) from ELAE Stage 1,

SL – Satisfactory from the ELAE,
UL-Unsatisfactory from the ELAE;
NA- Non-attendance,
UL – Unsatisfactory.
As stated in our regulations, no results are released as numeric values.
*SL and UL scales are only available for the second stage of the ELAE
SL (Satisfactory): ‘A-SL, B-SL, C-SL’,
EL (Exempt from the ELAE),
UL (Unsatisfactory): D-UL, E-UL, F-UL,
NA (Non attendance/ evaluated as UL)’
Scales are as below:
Students who receive less than 70% (UL) will be placed in the Foundation Development Year at either Route 3 or Route 4.
Students who are successful in Stage 2 of the exam, those who receive SL, will be eligible to start Faculty classes in the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
